Burning sensation in my head

Hello,

5 hours ago I got a hiccup and I tried the method "Drinking water upside-down" to get rid of the hiccup. I don't know if I did it wrong or correct, but it ended up with water going through my mouth into my nose and I got a strong burning sensation in my nose and then in my head. I may have been bending down a little too much, I don't know.

After 5 hours, a part of my brain still has a burning sensation. Why is that? Could this have irritated my brain or something?

No not at all.....Water is in your sinus cavity there probably is chlorine in your water which burns.

Perhaps. It stopped burning eventually. Thanks for the answer!

Next time, try slowly drinking warm water the proper way to relax the esophagus muscles and nerves.

Yes, water in the sinuses is painful. It does not belong there.
