Happy Holiday Season

Dear bizi, bobby, Donna, GeeLuv, and PinkKitty if you're around, and to everyone else who used to post here.

It took me ages to know what to put in the title. Nothing really feels very happy lately but it is my wish for you all that you find peace and enjoyment in the coming week and into the new year. Most of all... good health of course.

I haven't dropped in for a very long time and I wanted to do that today. I had to take a little forum/internet break as I wasn't feeling very strong physically and I got really sad and frustrated with the state of the world and the people in it. You know the feeling I'm sure. [I see I've missed bizi leaving on holidays to visit Alffe and MrAlffe. Wishing them all a safe and healthy holiday.]

so take care everyone. You're all lovely people. :grouphug:

Lara, this was on your profile open to the public. What do all of the abbreviations mean?

I've posted here since 2006 so a lot has happened to me and my children. I originally posted on the other forum many of us used to post to and that was mainly for my children so it seems as if it's a long list I suppose. ASD is Autism Spectrum Disorder, TS is Tourette Syndrome.
RLS is Restless Leg Syndrome ,PCS Vertigo - Post Concussion Syndrome and I have residual vertigo from a concussion I sustained when I slipped on the stairs a long time ago. PN is Peripheral Neuropathy from a melanoma treatment that I was on for 10 days back in 2019. I think they were the only ones in abbreviations. The rest were not abbreviated I don't think. I also left some out altogether. lol. Only logged in members can read profiles here so profiles aren't actually "public" as such.

sorry you have a melanoma. Did I understand that you have to have treatments every 3 weeks?

I am glad that only members can read profiles I did not know that. thanks for letting me know.

You have a lot on your plate for sure.
I hope you have some hobbies that you can throw yourself into.

Thanks bizi. It's OK. Treatment of Stage 4 is pretty intense and it's forever. Whatever "forever" means. There is no end date for treatment put it that way. It's made more difficult for me because I'm such an introvert and deathly afraid of hospitals and doctors and tests and etc.. It means I'm at the hospital 3 times every 21 days. 1 for bloods, 1 for Oncologist, 1 for treatment day. At the moment Covid is rampant here so the Oncologist phoned me this past week after reviewing blood tests to see if I'm ok for treatment. I'm just thankful that I'm doing so well all things considered and that I have such a wonderful daughter who helps me get to these appointments. :)
