Most awful er trip

I truly do try to find a good thing to focus on but this trip to ER has me laying in a sea of deep fear of my situation. I was refused a Covid test me and my blue toes and sicker. I had the bad luck of getting a bad doc I had had before who gave less steroids without discussion. I fought back this time. He seemed to work to ignor me. It wasn’t till just before I was to leave and I asked if anemia was checked because I have gone so Cold in last 2 weeks and I said Dr Ghosh had treated me before for this. That changed things . Ghosh is a highly respected doc here. Doc kinda sneered at me well what did he give you obviously expecting me to say nothing. I told him he Put me on a bag of iron in his office the first day then later diagnosed me with CMV and put me on major meds. ER doc put his nose into my record suddenly concerned and said well I may have Pneumonia. I am the worst I have ever been after ER. This on top of my neurologist notes from re ent visit being devastating. I am so so VERY unsafe at this point. And the ER doc kept pushing in so many ways to get steroids elsewhere and not come back. Dr Ghosh is Hematologist and Cancer doc. I am writing because I am frightened and I can’t be alone with it. Sculptor44

Hi Sculptor,
I thought you just tested positive to Covid some weeks back? Are you still ill from then or is this new?

I hope you're feeling a bit stronger today than you were last night. When you say "Safe" I take it that you mean regarding the state of your health and the fact that you don't have doctors helping you feel better?

I don't really understand why there are so many different doctors who are not helping you. It all sounds a bit like that saying about too many cooks spoiling the broth.

If you go to ER then you get whoever is there at the time but usually (well here anyway) they would consult with your regular Specialist/s as well as send updates.

Sorry you're so frightened.

Feel better fast.

I tested positive for Covid in September at ER and was unusually sick but not chest at that time. I have never been the same and recently the discolored toes that turned Blue. My GP nurse said go to ER. But Also was due for a Solumedrol shot. Something different is going on. My ability to talk is worse in strength needed but also inflammation of some sort in throat. My Chest thankfully is at least not in constant discomfort and fighting me for breathing. But I did intense resting since Yesterday morn. My ability to use my body yesterday was so deep and strong at times I knew if I were anywhere else I would be at the mercy of others similar to 2 years ago when I was in hospital and then sent to nursing facility as I couldn’t stand and walk. I didn’t realize how traumatized I still am by that situation. Parts of it are coming at me in flashes or waves. Big and little things. What my neurologist said and wrote is a big factor to all this. It guarantees I have to go to Mayo because she has made a royal mess of my case. I gave her way too much benefit of the doubt. Wanted you all to know I am at least less scared. Not a lot but less. I was reading on a medical site somewhere recently about purple and blue toes and fingers post Covid. I know that people have been reporting neuropathy pain problems with Long Covid. I've also read about Raynaud's Phenomenon after Covid. I recall you having very low oxygen levels at times. It could be related to that??
Good to hear you're feeling a little less scared today. I hope that improves. take care.
