Bad batch of Mestinon?
Just an FYI, my last batch of Pyridostigmine ended up being bad. Unfortunately, my prescription is a 3 month. I just felt so tired, more symptomatic than I had been in 40 years. Couldn't keep my head up for an hour. Refilled prescription, and suddenly I'm fine again. It's been over a month and the symptoms have mostly been mitigated.
It came from Zydus Pharmaceuticals. Prescription was obtained in May or June of this year. Anyone else find something similar? |
What you need to do is ask your doc to request that you only be given the brand generic you know works in the future. Let him/her know so they can note it in your chart.
There are variances in generics. They are not manufactured equally. It is important to use what works! |
Hi I am back after moving. I just had an awful experience when suddenly no one but University of Iowa could get Brand name MESTINON from a supplier. And I got last 2 bottles! I got a few pills this brand you talked of from the ER and later a 2nd generic my pharmacist found. And I was moving. I had poor response to both generics. But certainly better than no Mestinon!! I also have POTS and Mestinon helps with that. I think the generic is less successful for that. Sculptor 44
