Breastfeeding on Keppra

Hello! I am currently 6 months pregnant and taking 3000mg of keppra. I’ve been getting many different opinions and statistics on breastfeeding while on keppra. I wanted to know if anyone out there has experience on knowledge on this topic. Safe, not safe, recommendations, pros/ cons. Everything will help! Thanks

This is from the Precautions on the Keppra drug.

Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially drowsiness, dizziness or loss of coordination. These side effects can increase the risk of falling.

During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Your doctor is the authority and I would work toward their advice, I would also investigate an alternative type supplement to Keppra
