Decompression surgery and nausea

I had decompression surgery November 30th, had several other procedures done because of fluid and blood collecting. Was feeling good after surgery except Norma surgery issues until a few weeks ago. Now I struggle with constant nausea and threw up for about a week. They changed my meds and started on steroids and it helped. Still have constant nausea and nothing seems to help. Tried several prescription meds, Emetrol, warm tea, crackers before getting out of bed in the morning, even antacids and eating several small meals a day. The vomiting is better for the most part I can move most days without it but still have days. I’ve been told to try phenegran and preggie pops. Now most of the time when I do throw up it’s just fluids and fluids and fluids. Any ideas or suggestions ??

Welcome, Ragurley!

This doesn't sound right. The surgery was a month and a half ago, and a few weeks ago nausea and vomiting started up for you. Those symptoms might be related to the surgery but then again they might have nothing whatever to do with it.

In any case, I would strongly urge you to consult a doctor about the nausea and vomiting. This shouldn't be happening, and even though it sounds as if you have had medical attention about it already, I think more medical attention is called for.

Yes I’m under dr care. I found dill pickle juice sipped throughout the day has helped more than anything. They said the area of the brain where they had to do surgery controlled that so it may just take time. I was nauseous in the hospital also but not as bad. The last couple of days have been better so maybe I’m on the mend.
