Pain in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis may be a lot like going one round with Mike Tyson . . . the disease itself doesn't cause pain, its the collateral issues: imagine you haven't ran the Boston Marathon, or any other marathon for that matter but you never the less decide you are good to go . . . I walk five to ten miles a day but I couldn't do the Boston Marathon, if I tried however, I wouldn't be in this good of condition . . . see the smiles ?:

. . . in short if you were to try the Boston Marathon without training for it you would find yourself in pain . . . I can almost walk so far in one day . . . especially were I on a brick sidewalk . . . I discovered a few years ago, I can walk much further on brick sidewalk rather than poured concrete sidewalks and I finally figured out what the probable reason is.

I think its the number of angles your legs will be postured at on brick sidewalk is substantially higher than on poured concrete sidewalks, thus, the work of walking is distributed among a larger number of muscle fibers . . . hence: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis patients may well be doing themselves a favor by choosing brick sidewalks when possible.

About seventy-five people in this marathon will likely develop Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis . . . healthy living does not seem preventative . . . .

I was there in 2013.

Good pacer news ahead!
