Thank you doc for keeping these forums open for as long as you have. our bipolar forum really slowed down. I am already a member at MSF. It too has slowed down....don't know why. It is sad. when people you care about just leave and don't even say good bye.
again thank you for all of your hard work.
what is happening to the medical forums?
bizi

Chemar 05-06-2023 06:52 AM

Hi bizi
All the other medical/health forums at NeuroTalk will continue as is for now.
Only the Mental Health forums have transitioned over to My Support Forums, but all their posts will remain archived here.

bizi 05-06-2023 11:46 AM

Thank you chemar!

Lara 05-06-2023 01:33 PM

Hey bizi, I'm pleased that you already have a safe place elsewhere. Also just wanted to say that I too understand the dfficulty of people you care about just disappearing forever. It's a very unsettling feeling. That has happened so much and it's never easy.
Let's keep in touch from time to time.

bizi 05-06-2023 01:59 PM

Thank you lara! best to you.
bizi

Dmom3005 05-06-2023 08:45 PM

I will have to see if I can find that forum. I have lots of trouble getting
into new forums. So if I don't get there that will be why. It will be sad
because this has been a good place to talk about what I needed too.

Thank you for having this here.

Lara 05-06-2023 09:48 PM

I had a look for you Donna but I haven't ever been registered there but I'm sure bizi knows how to do it easily. I think that once you get registered it'll not be complicated. This forum won't close until July 5, 2023.

If you want, you can try what I found and see how you go. Plently of time to help sort it out for you wherever you decide to go.

I found the Register page here -

My Support Forums - Register

then the Bipolar Forums are as DocJohn posted above and here -

Bipolar - My Support Forums

All forums here -
My Support Forums

I used the Spring format a it was bright and cheerful. You can change the style format in bottom left corner the same as here. Usually I use "Curves" format here but they don't have it there. Just try them out to figure which one is easier for you to view.

big hug
change is hard, I know it for sure.

DocJohn 05-07-2023 06:53 AM

Yes, absolutely.... change is rarely easy. I'm also available to help anyone who needs help with registering or anything else over there. I actively oversee both communities still.

Jomar 05-07-2023 11:02 AM

Here is the Help/ FAQ link for the My Support Forum.. Lots of info there..

Doc John, Chemar

My problem is I seem to have registered years ago. And forgot to hit the keep logged in. And then I couldn't find the forum again. I'm guessing it was at a
time that I had a concussion and no real memory of how to keep up with were
I had been getting help for things. Any way as some people know when I unlog
myself here, I have a really hard time getting back in. I almost always have to
ask one of the People moderating or whatever your called to help me.
Because I can't figure out why the way its done wone work on my computers.
I know one time I was out of the forums for 3 or 4 weeks because of that.

Well the other day when I went to see if I could register and things I found
I had registered in as dmom3005. But forgot to save the login. Or whatever it is.

I had a bad fall and hurt my hip and stuff. And I am not on as much right now.
So I'm waiting and hoping I can get back on when this site is still up when
I get ready or I'll have to find bizi or someone to help me remember the
name. I hate the fact I'm a newby again, and lost my status here.
And now my threads have to be okayed. Which is fine, but I sure hope they
don't think I'm not coming back. I know I would wonder. So bizi if
your there tell them I'll be back as soon as health allows me too.

I have never been able to do the forums on phone and computer. Its had to be one or the other. It just wont work on both. Ugh

once you do have it sorted, you could just Save to your Bookmarks on your computer. Then it's always there.

Chemar 05-15-2023 08:24 PM

Donna
Use the "Contact Us" at MSF and you will get help to log back in to your old account

Jomar 05-15-2023 09:20 PM

Donna here is the link to your posts over there.
If you favorite or bookmark the link you can always find your posts.
My Support Forums - Search Results

Most web browsers have a save your password option.
But you might not want to use that if others use the computer or your phone also.

Maybe keep the password on a note hidden where you can find it..

Lara 05-15-2023 09:23 PM

Yay! Well done.

I figured the old registration was lost. That's great. I just removed one previous post so it wouldn't confuse the issue more.

Hi pink kitty. Hoping you are doing well.

GeeLuv 05-23-2023 02:20 AM

I just created my own thread now, but in case anyone is only following this one, I'll mention it here.
I just tonight saw this thread that the forum is moving to MSF. I do already have an account there. It's a different name though. Giddykitty
Hope to see everyone there! This forum (section) will be missed! :grouphug:

GeeLuv 05-24-2023 09:15 AM

Oh, question. What happened to all the past threads? Is there an archive somewhere? I've noticed a lot have gone missing, from bothe here and MSF.

Lara 05-24-2023 04:01 PM

Maybe check your thread tools in the FAQ up top left side of page.
I just checked mine and the threads all go back to 2006 which is the beginning. If you're viewing the forum offline though, it won't show older threads, it only shows a few.

There's an area in User CP up top left, where you can make changes to your own settings .

So go to
User Control Panel
Settings and Options
Edit Options.

Scroll down to Thread Display Options.
e.g."Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages."

You can set to show 5 posts per page all the way up to 40 posts per page. At 40 posts per page I ended up seeing 224 pages of threads all the way back to August 2006.

There's also
Thread Display Mode.
and
Default Thread Age Cut Off.

Mine is set to show all threads. The other settings vary.

Maybe check your Default thread age cut off first.

Thank you lara, you are always so kind to us, and generous.
thank you my friend!

Oh, I hope Donna gets it figured out. I know how much she relies on you all and particularly lately with all that's going on.

bizi 06-29-2023 10:13 PM
