Severe Long Thoracic Nerve Damage

Hello All,
It's been a couple of months I haven't been able to left my arm above waist/chest with a winged scapula.

I'm not exactly sure how I got to that point I am always lifting heavy stuff at work and went home one night in severe back pain not able to barely move. Pain persistent for a while and realized I couldn't move my arm and my shoulder was bothering me

I originally went to a Orthopedic Dr thinking I did something to my rotator cuff which is when he noticed my winged scapular and had me do 2 weeks of steroids.

The steroids didn't help so I ended up back there which resulted in him ordering a EMG focusing on my LTN and SA.

Sorry that's all very long but brings me to now I had my EMG and my LTN is severely damaged the Dr did not seem very enthusiastic about a recovery said I have a single motor unit functioning and he's unsure if it is going to reinervate he suggested another EMG in 4 months to see if there was any growth.

Anyone been through this it is all overwhelming and debilitating?

Thoughts on how to move forward?
