Question on Calif SS

Good morning!

I posted several years ago on the TOS forum but due to surgeries and pain I have not posted in a long time. I had a video teleconfrence hearing on June 27th for SS and I have heard nothing. Can anyone tell me about how long it takes to get an answer. I appreciate any help.

Got a decision

Allen,

Thought I would let you know that I received my decision letter in the mail today. After many years of fighting for what I feel I am entirely entitled to, I am happy to say I was given a favorable decision this time around. As you said it has been a white knuckle ride. I hope that you have as good of outcome as I did. I had a wonderful attorney represent me and I feel that was my saving grace this time around.

Good Luck!

Wow!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Your decision came a lot quicker than mine! Maybe just the different districts we are in. Mine was out of the San Diego courts. Anyways thank God we were both favorable. Mine was only partially favorable but that took me back to 1993 so I was very happy with that. I have been fighting this for many many years. I spoke with SS the other day and they said it would be about 30 -45 days till I would hear something regarding payment. She said that is the longest senario so we will see. That is nothing compared to what I have waited. I am just so glad that the fight is behind me and I can move forward. Good lucj to you and again congratulations!

Did you qualify for SSD?

Partial favorable? What is the difference?

Sorry for the questions :)

I kinda had the feeling the judge wasnt gonna sit on the decision because she seemed real interested in my lack of medical insurance. I mean she didnt let on or anything, it was just the questions she asked, and the look she had kinda gave me a gut feeling.

I still wasnt holding my breath though LOL.

It might be because you have a higher population in your area compared to the central valley. I am sooo happy for you!! It really is a relief, even with no money yet lol. Just a great piece of mind :D
