Hi everyone,

I am a newbie. My name is Marilyn. I’m a 64 year old lady (sometimes) married to a wonderful man, have one child, divorced, who lives 1700 hundred miles away, no grandchildren. My husband and I are self-employed with my part of the work being a bookkeeper. Due to severe lung problems I do most of my work at home these days where I can rest when necessary. I have a 6-year-old cat named Skeeter and a 17-year-old dachshund named Clyde. They rule.

In May, 2007 I began having shock-like pain on the left side of my face running from the side of my nose across my cheekbone and up/around the left eye. The very tip of my nose is the trigger spot. The pain was only occasional at first. Then it became more frequent. My Pulmonologist thought it was a sinus problem and treated it with antibiotics which did not help. He then referred me to my PCP who diagnosed me with TN in July. He placed me on Lyrica one 75-mg pill twice daily. It did not work so he doubled the dosage 4 days ago and that is where I am now. There has been no reduction in pain as yet. I do have side effects. Other health problems consist of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Emphysema, Chronic Bronchitis, Bronchectatis, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Gerd, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure and borderline Diabetes. I am on oxygen 24/7.
