My Grama has a cancerous lump in her breast

I have a post in the spiritual sanctuary but wondered if anyone here has had a similar experience with themselves or a relative? I am so terribly worried about my Grama....she is 89 years old in November. She is waiting to see the specialist that will be doing the surgery. She is so sad....this is just terrible!:Bawling:

how large is it ?

my mom and a sis in law both had lumps, biopsy, lumpectomy and radiation - both are doing fine 2x yr after all clear.

my mom had 3 lumps removed - I can't recall the sis in laws details.

Hi jo55 the lump is very big...about the size of a golfball! They are booking her in ASAP. I hope she is OK. She is getting so old and is not near as strong as she used to be. She is fragile now. Thanks for replying to my post!:)

Dear dorrie,
I'm so sorry I'd not seen this message before now.
How is your grandmother doing?
I have family members who've had surgery for breast cancer. Some more serious than others.
I'll go check the other thread in case there's more updates in there.

(((dorrie))) you must be so concerned.

Dorrie,

I hope all is well by now.

Hi Barbara! I have not been around for a while. I hope you are well. Thank you and others for your concern. It ended up that upon further exams etc. the lump was massive. It attached itself to the chest wall and went up her armpit. The doc put her on a med to see if the lump would shrink enough to remove it. She actually went to the docs a few days ago....a mammogram and ultasound again...the results are not n yeat. I hope it has helped. I do not know though as Grama has no use of that arm at all now....the lump has interfered so much.. Hopefully all will be well!!! Take care Barbara!!!!!!!!
