Possible Aneurysm

Hi Folks,
I usually post on the epilepsy page but a few wks. ago I had a grand mal seizure and hit my head on the right temporal lobe where brain surgery was done to reduce my seizures back in 1994. Since that time I've had double vision or blurry vision, pain in the back of my neck, a wicked headache that won't stop, pain above my right eye, and I also have short term memory problems, as well as bright light and certain noises bother me. I've never had a grand mal seizure in my life and I've lived with epilepsy for 34 yrs. I've also noticed that I'm tired all of the time. Do any of these symptoms sound like a possible aneurysm? I would greatly appreciate any info. and I thank you for your time and help. May God Bless You!

Sue

Hi Sue

 I am sorry to hear about your situation!! All of the symptoms you described sound exactly like the ones I had when I had a rupture last June. mine is on the left side next to my optical artery. I injured my neck working and pulled something & bulged a few disc. I think that is what caused mine to blow, it was only 4mm after rupture! I still have severe light sensitivity, headaches, blurred vision, severe short term memory... The neck pain is a big symptom!! I had 2 surgeries in Sept & Oct 05 for stnting & coiling. I still have a long recovery, it is a long story!! But, get checked out!!! As soon as possible, I would go to the ER at a good hospital!!! If you had a bleed form the seizure, you need to be treated ASAP! I unfortunately was not, thati s why my recovery is so long!! Please go get checked!! :o Better safe than sorry! If you do have one, it is nothing to mess with!! ;) It sounds like you have the symptoms or at least brain swelling from the fall, or a clot??? Please let me know what you do, it is my opinion that you go ASAP!! I have done a lot of research, I was a firefighter / first responder & my husband is and EMT & firefighter for 33 years. We know about head trauma & you have something going on in there hun? I will keep you in my prayers and PLEASE go get checked!! Call an ambulance if you have too! I went 3 times before they fighured out I had a brian Aneurysm, with rupture?? I am lucky to still be here!! Let me know, I will be thinking about & praying for you hun!!! Tricia

Hi Sue - Please get yourself checked out ASAP. I worry that you will wait and see and if it is an aneurysm that could be dangerous. Please take care and let us know how you make out. You will be in my prayers.

Third opinion here, get to an ER ASAP. This is nothing to fool around with. Time is an enemy where aneurysm is concerned.

Hi Sue

Aneurysm or not, this is NOT NORMAL so get checked out. At worst, they may find an annie, which they can do something about - at best it will put your mind at rest.

As others have said, this is not something to muck around with.

Let us know how you get on

Cheers

Lyn :)

Hello Everyone,
I saw my Dr. and he ordered x-rays and a CT scan but everything came back negative. Is there any other type of tests that could show better detail if I do have an aneurysm? My neuro is out of town until next week but today I had 4 seizures along with a wicked headache and neck pain all day long. Thank you all for your help and support. May God Bless All of You!

Sue
