Hello!
I have a 9 yo son with Tourette's. He has been having tics for 5 years now. He is currently having severe vocal tics which are very distressing to him and others around him. He is on tenex, strattera, zoloft, and omega 3 at this time. I have been reluctant to start him on a neuroleptic/antipsychotic due to possible side effects. I am looking into botox for his vocal tics. Does anyone have any experience with this??
Glad to have a place to come and talk with others who have similar problems. Thanks!!! |
:welcome_sign: Hi toosaucey and Welcome to NT. Tourettes' is a hard thing for a kid to have. It's so misunderstood. A friend of mine has a son w/a mild case of it. She sometimes feels like pulling her hair out, even tho she loves him w/all her heart.
It's so hard to try and understand what they are going thru. I have a nephew w/severe Autism and people are not kind when he has outbursts out in public. I hope someone comes along that can be of a better help to you. take care and welcome again!:Wave-Hello: |
