Lithium -- "neuroprotective" Brain Booster & other benefits

http://www.tahoma-clinic/lithium1.shtml
not sure where best to post this article about Lithium--"The Misunderstood Mineral". besides it's most known use for treatment of BiPolar disorder, author cites research that Lithium may be very helpful for many conditions, such as Alzhiemers, TIA, cluster headaches and other disorders. Also as brain booster, "neuro-protective" and more....

Dr. John... others.... what do you know or think about this??? Does Lithium have these benefits??

LiCo3

Lithium has been proven to be very neuroprotective, but it also has potential problems such as thyroid disease, narrow window between effectiveness and toxicity, and it is generally not a fun drug to take.

I have heard that Cymbalta is taking over for Lithum as it is so dangerous

lithium

LiCo3 and Cymbalta are used for totally different things, so I do not think one is taking over the other and both can be dangerous.
