Cervical Facet Injections

Hi,

I have a question, I had a cervical facet injection and had no pain on either side of my neck for three weeks. Then I got another facet injection and the right side had no pain but the left side did. I can't figure out why. Does anyone know if there are facet joints on both sides and maybe my doctor just gave me a shot on the right side only? And that's why I have pain on the left side. I haven't seen my doctor yet. But am scheduled for 9/11/07.

Thanks, Roxy:winky:

Positioning during the injection(s) can cause soreness afterward.

Here's a page that might explain some:

You can find more by clicking on the link below:

Any time I've had injections or PM procedures, it's been bilateral and multi-level.

What did the pre-op consent form (that you signed) state would be done? The form you signed will tell you what was done.

I always have to sign a form prior to any injection, etc., and I am given a copy before I am wheeled out.
