catch44
hi to all--my problems are bipolar 1 (?) and panic disorder. i'm not a snob, but i have benefited from the 'creative' side of this illness---founded industries, published poetry for pay, been filthy rich from scratch---and broke, living in tents with 8 children---the old 'up & down' of this 'disease' has truly been a pain. for me the worst parts have been 'bad' decisions when wealthy (non-delusional mania seems to follow loot) and constant underlying depression.
i put that (?) after 'bipolar 1, as i've had several DXs, and i feel 'cyclothyme' perhaps more accurate. i see a Nova U Phd grad as a cognitive therapist---over years in my case (we're all unique), i've developed a strong distrust of meds from adverse reactions, and feel most should be 'short-time-use' for crisis only---certainly neuroleptics or benzodiazapines. i Do Not trust drug cos., $$$ seems their main motive--'talk-therapy' is safe--be careful with meds! and remember--things do get better--Bless you all-- |
