Neuropathy

if you have had severe neuropathy for several years, Can the nerves come back or regenerate?

LizaJane 09-01-2007 04:10 PM

yes, pripheral nerves regenerate. Why not read the "stickies" at the top of the page and learn more from our collective experience?

Hi Harper and welcome to the forum, Yes they can, if they are in the right environment, that means once whatever was causing them to damage is taken away, its a pretty slow process though but well worth the wait.
There is a lot you can to help this along, eg- B12, multi B, etc, i would follow Liza's advise, there is a great thread by David about Supplements and a mountain of other good info, good luck.
Brian :)

Hi Brian and thanks for the info. How do I find David's thread?

HI Harper!! and Welcome!!
You found a great site here with lots of wonderful, caring people. There's LOTS of great info on this site and everyone is SO knowledgeable about Neuropathy. Why don't you give some back ground to your problem.....that will help everyone give you the right info and a direction for help.
I hope you have a nice Labor Day weekend!

Harper 09-01-2007 09:08 PM

thanks

hi Roxie, and thank you. I'm a member of another site "Revolution Health" and the question came from one of our hosts. I try to answer the questions nobody else can or they just don't feel like doing a little research. I didn't know much about neuropathy until I came here. You're right - it's a great site! I already forwarded her the address. now, if I knew what "stickies" were and knew how to find a post by David I'd be set. Than ks for the welcome!

harper, a sticky is thread that is "stuck" to the top of the forum.

if you just click on the title Peripheral Neuropathy again, you will see the whole pn forum and the list of threads. at the very top...stickies.

here is a link: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=177

you can also use the search feature and type in key words or members names.

let me know if i can help.

Roxie2007 09-01-2007 09:13 PM

HI Harper!
Scroll down to where you can click on GO at the bottom of this page....where it says Peripheral Neuropathy........and click go.......that takes you back to the main page. AT the top of that page you'll see the stickies. To find what someone has posted go to search and put in their name. Hope that helps!

Hello Harper

if you look at the index of this forum and then see the top three threads are labelled "sticky" and set in a box above the others. Those are helpful threads "stuck" there so that they dont have to be searched for

you will see them by clicking on this forum's index
