sorry it has taken me so long to answer your original post, but this is always a bad time of year for me and i've been WAY behind on my computer stuff.

i'm adding my 2 cents worth because nobody mentioned the different TYPES of rsd.....while i think that vicc is right that genuine rsd usually involves cyanosis, there are sub-types and there is some dispute about whether the sub-types are truly rsd or should be classed separately.

this interests me because nobody seems too sure exactly what my diagnosis should be.....the pain doc says it's rsd for sure......the second opinion pain doc says, no, not rsd - it's traumatic vasospasm with sympathetic complications (this is mystifying, as TV is another name for rsd)....my family doc thinks it's PN and the new neuro says it's polyneuropathy, but he isn't willing to rule out rsd of the ABC type -- more confusion with that since some neuros think ABC is a separate disease and some think it's a subset of rsd.

i don't have any answers for u, but hope that you'll feel free to join in with us here whenever u think we might have some relevant info, or to let us know how u r doing, or to howl with frustration when it all gets to be too much....we do know and understand that feeling.
