I haven't yet had a nerve block, so I can't give any advice. But I am hoping to have blocks in the Occipital Nerves (for my Occipital Neuralgia), this week...if my Neurologist doesn't change his mind again!
If I get it done, I'll let you know how it goes...

hi Steff
i have been having nerve root blocks for occipital neuralgia for 2 yrs now & have found them helpful with the head pain & part facial, but doesn`t help the pain round & at the back of my eye. i`m due to have the next 10th dec which i hope will see me over the
"Christmas period" i do take a lot of pain meds also.
i would advice anyone to have a block & not give up after 1st one, give one`s self to decide on the pro`s & cons. i used to feel quite bad after 1st but now don`t have many problems, & also bare in mind "what does for one might not do for another"
sophia
