You have passion,
And you have zest,
And deep inside,
You know what feels the best.

You have desire,
And you have strength,
And deep inside,
You’ll go to the right length.

You have spirit,
And you have zeal,
And deep inside,
You know how you should feel.

You have courage,
And you have hope,
And deep inside,
You find a way to cope…

Deep Inside

Deep inside
where no one sees

there lives a person
you don't like

who thinks some thoughts
that you don't know

and feels some things
that she can't show.

You realize she's hiding there
and strive to understand her,

You'd like to let her come outside
but find you can't command her.

You're the house that she calls home
You're the judge and jury too

You're the one that she rejects
You disapprove of you.

(in my younger years, I wrote a lot of black poetry!) :D

I can relate to your poem, I have written many poems like this, over the years. I just don't always like to share my dark poems...:o
