Reiki & Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

:circlelove:

My name is Lisa & I have had Complex Regional Pain Syndrome since 12.01. Both my husband & I are Reiki practitioners & it is my great belief that if I did not have some sort of spiritual life, some kind of hope that something/someone was out there watching over me & helping me not to give up & just slide quietly into the disease, I would have chosen suicide as a way out by now. For those of you who are unfamiliar w/Reiki here's a short version of how it works - Reiki is energy based healing. It can be done hands on or hands off, with the person in the room or if the person is on another continent. I am more than willing to give out better descriptions of Reiki to those interested & will also A-teach it for free to those in my area & B-will send it long distance to those who are in need of it. I realize that I have not really explained it too well in this posting but believe it or not, sometimes my arms just get too tired to continue to type! Anyone who happens to be interested in more info should feel free to contact me. We need all of the help we can get right?!?!!??

Brightest blessings & may peace prevail on earth!

Hello and Welcome

lisa, i'm so glad you posted and thank you for sharing your story with us. i put up a post not too long ago on here about energy healing; it is something i have become very interested in of late and i would love to know more about - reading is slow-going, however, as i have very bad TOS and my arms just don't want to cooperate... nor does what's left of my so-called brain. but that's a whole other story!:D

i'm wondering, with some of the sx you mentioned, if you might not like to drop by the TOS forum. there is a lot of info available in the stickys at the top - and it's just a great group of folks over there. anyhow, we'd love to see you if you do decide to check it out. many of us have cervical spine issues on top of the brachial plexus involvement. add RSD and FMS to the mix and you've got, well... some days are better than others that's for damned sure, lisa.:(

just this week i've started seeing a cranial sacral practitioner who does polarity work and, i believe, is also an energy healer. my new doc wrote me an rx in such a way that - fingers crossed here, you guys - we're hoping medicare will cover her sessions. i have heard that cranial sacral massage can do wonders for cervicogenic h/a, one of my worst sx... i've a feeling you can relate to what i'm talking about there, lisa - am i right?-

anyway, just wanted to say hey and nice to see you. hope you stick around. anything you care to teach us about reiki - well i, for one, am all ears! and i hope that you find relief and some real answers soon. i know you will encounter many good friends here if you choose to stay, lisa. neurotalk is an excellent source of information and support and a well-managed site, IMHO.

my lady has crps/rsd...

Hi Lisa,

My lovely lady injured her thumb a sprain about 2 years ago. Unfortunately the pain never went away and spread up her arm to her neck.

We went through lots of doctors till we found one that diagnosed her with CRPS. It was great to get a name to the pain.

She still suffers daily and is on pain meds which we would really love her to be able to stop.

I have done a bit of reiki in the past but I really need a reboot , would love any help or advice you could give. Please send some of that energy her way.

Thanks so much . namaste. x

Brendon :)
