hi amber..
im not sure whether my CRPS started after my inital injury on march 5th this year, or the surgery i had 2nd may 2007 which i had for the injury, ive been started on gabapentin, on 8th OCT i have a hospital appointment for a TENS fitting, and the same week i have physio and accupuncture.. i just dont understand much about it at the moment faye |
hi amber
i dont know whether thr CRPS is due to my injury (5th march 07) or surgery to correct the injury (2nd may 07) ive been started on gabapentin, i go for a TENS fitting on Oct 8th followed by physio and accupucture i was only dx on sept 13th and im really struggling with it thanks faye:confused: |

Hi Faye, Welcome.:grouphug: There is a huge chance that you can be cured with your early diagnosis and age. The diagnosis does not have to be scary for you (even though I understand completely) Please make sure that the team of people looking after you are up to date with all the current treatments for RSD/CRPS. Have they mentioned nerve blocks or mirror imagery? Please also realise that those people who get better do not access these forums for long so what you read here may not truly represent the outcome of all people who get RSD / CRPS. Sending you lots of luck Tayla:hug: |
Hi Faye and I too want to welcome you to the forum. I can so relate when you mentioned that your struggling with the diagnosis. I too struggled with it. I didn't want it to be true that I had this. I was in denial for awhile there. I found this board and let me tell you, you will find yourself right at home here. we are all in this together, hand holding hand, so please just keep reading, reading. post anytime you want. You will find much help here. take care, and again, WELCOME FAYE! ~Love, Desi

Faye,
Welcome to the group. It is scary to have this beast, but you will find a lot of great information here. any questions or worries, just write. We have all been there or are still there. You will have ups and downs. Don't worry about complaining here, we all do. Mary :grouphug: |
hi, thanks to everyone who has replied and the kind words, expect to see more of me this coming week

Good luck.
Work hard on getting better now. If you're successful then remember that it can come back so don't take big risks of injury. If you can't shake it, don't despair. You can't have a normal life but you can have a new life. |
hello again
