Lara...

Sorry I've not been able to catch up much lately and probably not too often in the near future. Got a few things happening here taking up my time and energy. Will hopefully get some nice pics this afternoon though so I'll in the photo place when I can do that. Need to find some cable to get them from the camera to the puter then though. Someone else has it "somewhere. unquote

I just wanted to say that I miss you and am looking forward to seeing the nice pics.

Thanks

Thanks for thinking of me, Alffe. :)

I'm sorry I've not been around lately. Been unavoidable. :grouphug:

I'm heading off tomorrow on a bit of an adventure. Exciting and also scarey, but I will let you all know which one wins over my nervous system. lol

Going Walkabout. ;)

I'm heading into my little mountain retreat for a while. I'm going to catch up on some Lara time. Won't have internet or phone is the problem although I do have a pre-paid mobile. It's only like 20 mins. from where I am sitting now, but it's a totally different world and I'll be living in a very little place in the cutest little lane in a little tiny village on top of a mountain. It's all little. lol Fine by me. No speeding traffic. No shopping centre on every 2nd corner. You know the drill.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get phone or maybe even wireless connection sometime in the next week, but that might drag out to a month cause it's not going to be inexpensive getting it organized for where I will be. I'm so happy and excited really. I'm looking forward to hearing the rain on the corrugated roof. I'm looking forward to not having to cook and clean for my two children for a while, although I'm so close that I can just pop down the mountain again if they need me, or visa versa. They're fine and they're busy and they're all organized!!! [Plus they have their father who is not too far away from them to help them out if something goes awry like with a car or something... it's all sorted]

I've got about 15 books now that I want to read and I've got herbs to plant out and tomatoes and all sorts of things. I might finally get back to my artwork which has been almost totally neglected A.C.. (after children ;) )

I had a whole heap of other things to say, but I've forgotten. I'm tired, but in a week I will not be tired (hopefully) and all will be well. Now, if I can't get my wireless connection organized then it means the only contact I can make via a computer will be if I come down to the coast specifically to use the computer. So, I'll check in later today and also tomorrow to try to catch up on you all. I see BJ is home, thank goodness. Lots of people I don't know how they're doing though. Tomorrow morning I'll be able to check in as well, but then it's UNPLUGGED. I'm taking my puter with me though it'll only be useful for playing my CDs for a little while.

sheesh, I've got so much to do today.

(((Lara))) It sounds like both you and the computer will get "unplugged"!
Your retreat sounds delightful....Laratime, plants..books...is Born on a Blue Day in that pile? *grin

I put Lamington in my favorites for a slow peruse later tonight. Thanks for sharing your plans...I've been grinning quite a bit today. Enjoy yourself.
Your mountain top is the stuff dreams are made of.

11.30am and I need a sleep already LOL :Zzzz:

Maybe if I have a quick kip I'll be able to do more later. Of course I'm scrubbing the shower and everything here at home as well to make sure all is in order. I seem to be pretty organized otherwise. I'm just so tired.

Maybe having a :pepsi: will help.

Thanks everyone for caring so much. :grouphug:

I don't know what I'm going to do not being able to just pop in and know you're there. I live a pretty solitary life as it is (apart from 2 loud, raucous adult children of course and my kitty! lol) so am feeling a little bit fidgety about not having communication. I'm not as young and well as I used to be so have a few worries in my head about that, but I'm not roughing it (like camping). I'll be in comfortable conditions.

well, that's my lunch or brunch break over... better move along here.

Oh, forgot something... one of my favourite quotes. None of this was planned at all. It's all just happened. The opportunity came up for me to do this quite out of the blue. I've wasted so many opportunities I figure so this time I was brave and because other things were reasonably settled (kids) then I'm able to do this.

I held a moment in my hand,
brilliant as a star,
fragile as a flower,
a tiny sliver of one hour.
I dropped it carelessly,
Ah! I didn't know, I held opportunity.

Just know that we're here for you whether you pop in or not! And we'll want a full report when you come down the mountain. *grin

held opportunity in her hand aye? So lovely.

ugh

:thud:

Hardly slept a wink from pain. lol I'm walking around with a twisted back and two useless arms darn it. They were doing so well too. 6am here so have a few hrs before I head out the door. Not like I'm going very far, just seems that way. Lucky it's Saturday and I have a couple of helpers. ;)
