Milk of Magnesia

Anyone try this?- Hooshmand puzzle:

Hyperosmolar Therapy

Hyperosmolar therapy refers to the fact that some chemicals such as magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) reduce the neuroinflammation, swelling, as well as flexor spasm of the small joints. This is achieved by the patient taking an Epsom salt bath in the bathtub or taking Milk of Magnesia, no more than 1-2 ounces a day. The magnesium being a calcium channel blocker as well as a very strong osmotic chemical extracts the calcium and facilitates the inflow of calcium through the skin. This form of treatment is very effective to counteract the neuroinflammatory edema of CRPS, as well as relieving the pain.

Any thoughts?

Hi Debbie,

I went through Dr. Hooshmand's book and found nothing about M of M. Does it come in pill form? That doesn't mean anything though, it puzzle might have come after his book or just didn't cover that part. I can remember Daddy taking that to help his stomach. If it's not a pill I can't do it. I'm lucky if I can do pills. I am trying Elmeron tonight for the pevic pain. I got mixed up earlier and took Neurontin. Now I feel like I am just out of it. So if I'm rambling you know why. LOL I am definatly not good at taking meds/

A lot of us use Epson salts for baths. Honestly, I can't see that it does a thing for me but I notice on here it does help others.

It would be interesting to know what the M of M does for people if anyone has used it on here.
