Hello to all Neuro Talk members
I am a 34 year old mother of two kids aged 15 and 11 who was diagnosed with MS in November 2006. I suspect I have been living with this disease for the past five years at least. My diagnosis came after an "a-typical" presentation of left sided paralysis that occured over a three day period. My MRI was suggestive of aggressive cancer and I underwent a brain biopsy Dec 1 2006. The results indicated a diagnosis of Tumefactive MS.
Thankfully I have responded well to IVSM and ongoing treatment with Rebif. Amantidine keeps my fatigue under wraps. My disease course seems to have taken a RR course for which I am thankful. In the last year I have slowly moved from WC to Rollator to cane and in the last three weeks I am mobility aid free. I look forward to getting to know you all well! |
