Cervical Spine/Nerve block

Hello everyone; Just trying to understand my diagnosis and wondering how I can relieve some of this pain. I have compression of the cervical spine c5-6, surgery isn't an option but I was wondering about a nerve block? Has anyone tried this? and did it relieve any of your pain? Thanks in advance for any information.

Hairdresser,

I have had selective nerve root injections a few times in the cervical spine. And, yes, they helped me tremendously. Of course the pain came back and I had to have fusions. But, overall, I think I averaged anywhere from 3-6 months after having them. I have also had facet injections which at times helped and at other times didn't. And I have never had an ESI in my neck..only in the lumbar. It is a little difficult to answer you fully since I am not sure what you mean by compression and why surgery isn't an option. Actually, I am scheduled for an SNRI on Friday for the C6/C7 and I hope it works as well as all the others did. I hope this helps a little. :)
