We celebrate it much like you do, Curious... HOWEVER, we don't start the crazy christmas shopping frenzy like the americans do... lol.... I'm always grateful for that!
Just falls at a different time of year than yours does, for whatever reason I don't know.

Alffe, nope, not spending it with sister (who is THRILLED to say she will be a gramma next spring!)....
spending it alone by choice :)
...
And fondly remembering our Canadian Thanksgiving when our Lara was visiting from Oz. She had Pumpkin Pie for the first time and has loved it ever since!

I am THANKFUL for ALL of you.... :grouphug:

Yes, I did have some leftovers in my freezer and I pulled them out today to thaw in the fridge. :)Not sure if I'll be eating them on my own as my kids are with their dad, and they don't know when they'll be back with me.

Turkey, stuffing balls (bread stuffing mix with cranberries and pork sausage meat in them), gravy, mashed potatoes, yams, squash .... and/or other veggies. That's what we generally have, Curious. :D

I might make an apple pie tomorrow too. We also like pumpkin pie here.

I like going around the dinner table and talking about what we are thankful for at Thanksgiving. The Kindergarten teacher did this on Friday and it was pretty cute to hear the kids' answers. Some said "Mommy" or "Mommy and Daddy", others said "pink" or "mermaids", and then one little guy listed off his family, his toys, his friends, favourite movies .... I got the feeling that unlike some of the others, he had answered this question before!

Some of the things I'm thankful for:

My family :grouphug:

My friends :grouphug:

My Zero Gravity chair :) (I've been reading in it a fair bit today with my microfibre robe and a fleece blanket)

My new Earth shoes (with a negative heel - lower than the rest of my foot) :) :) They are so comfortable!!

Being in my kitchen at just the right time today to see a hummingbird visiting my flowers in the rain. :D

Working with children, especially those with different needs.

Hearing the young girl with Autism say my name (and pronounce it properly!)

Seeing the gorgeous fall colours all around me.

Listening to the rain on my roof.

My flannel sheets and electric blanket.

My LiteBook for light therapy during the grey months.

Smiles.

Sushi.

Chocolate!

OK .... enough about me. What are you thankful for?
