calmag menopause

Hi all- i wonder if this makes sense to anyone. Not long ago i started having what seem to be menopause symptoms at night including what feels like rapid heart rate/or increased blood pressure(occasionally in early morning) and numbing of part of my hand as i sleep. First i took b12 which did work- then i stopped that tho, and switched to cal mag (powdered) and i have no more symptoms. i chose the calmag for several reasons. I no longer tolerate dairy, my son has tourettes and i am used to giving it to him. also, it seems that the mag is a cofactor in many metabolic interactions and it seemed somehow a more basic way to address my health. anyone with a similiar experience ? limpia

I'll let someone else address the calmag (which can have an affect on the heart).

B12 is stored. If the B12 "worked," it probably still is working. Unless one is very unusual, stopping B12 is not a way to tell whether it was necessary and doing its job, because it is stored and used very slowly.

Bottom line: whatever you do, don't forget your B12.

i should have said mag/cal due to the ratio- re the b12- is it constipating?

I have never heard of seen evidence of B12 constipating anyone.
