Side effects from medicine

Mrsd, if you are reading this, do you think it is possible to develope side effects to medicines that you have been using successfully for several years? I have developed some problems in the last couple of months that are listed as common side effects for medication that I have been doing okay with for 2-6 years. I don't know whether to blame the medicines, or worry if something new is going on.

yes...depending...

Some medications deplete nutrients. So with time a deficiency can develop.

Also the kidneys can change, and excretion may be effected.

The use of some other meds may interfere with metabolism in the liver.

Your body may change....some people adjust to medications and they lose
their effect. This may be due to receptors changing, increasing.

Drugs are very complex... I don't think our medical science understands the half of how they work, when they release them upon us.:(
