This ain't so bad....

Yup, been waiting for BT1 to reappear after its breakdown weeks ago and lo and behold I found BT2..Doc John's site.

I have been reading it all and you know what. I am glad that folks can vent and air their dirty laundry here and what I see, it is done pretty civil. And no one jumping down each other's throat or trolling or acting holier than thou and so far no "mommy dearests" to contend with. AND, no anxiety pills to take cuz you may be banned (the other one)when least expected, and some with no explanation OR having a MOD scare the living daylights out of you in the Chat Room by messing with your mind. Cute? Funny? H_ _ _ NO!

I applaud you Doc John for taking in, us "refugees" and giving us a roof over our heads and "civil freedom of talk" to mull things over.

Yes, your house may be a temporary shelter for some till the other is rebuilt (if and when) but I sure do like your hospitality and I want to thank you for your kindness for us poor displaced persons. :o

I like the way you run your ship and hope those who are willing to sail with you, will respect your commands so that your place will be a safe haven for all.

Ahoy...Merci Boucoup

Here is a clipped quote from DocJohn -

That's not to say there won't be any rules here -- every community needs some minimal guidelines. But if you spend a few minutes over at Psych Central's forums, you'll find we have very few problems with members because our team takes the time to understand issues before taking *any* action. And more often than not, it's just a simple PM to a member. It's amazing how, when you treat people with dignity and respect and spend a few moments with them, you can often help people better understand one another.

Best,
DocJohn

Which can be found in the following link where people can vote on whether or not they would like BT2 to remain online.

So it appears as if DocJohn will keep BT2 online (with a different name) if people want it, but whether or not it becomes part of PsychCentral or it becomes a different site (BrainCentral for example) has not been discussed as far as I know.

I do know that the psychcentral forum uses different software for their forums, so if BT2 were rolled into the psychcentral forums then either the BT folks would have to adjust to different forum software or the psychcentral folks would have to adjust to different software.
