Likely Cause of Fibromyalgia?

Chronic fatigue not relieved by extra sleep or rest
Headaches
Dryness of the throat and excessive water consumption
Urinary tract irritation
Aches and stiffness in muscles/bones (arthritic-like pain)
  • In lower back
  • In neck area
  • In jaws
  • In arms, shoulders, legs
Muscular weakness
Muscle spasms (involuntary twitching)
Tingling sensations in fingers (especially) and feet
Gastrointestinal disturbances
  • Abdominal pains
  • Blood in stools
  • Diarrhea
  • Bloated feeling (gas)
  • Constipation
  • Tenderness in stomach area
Feeling of nausea (flu-like symptoms)
Pinkish-red or bluish-red spots (like bruises, but round or oval) on
the skin that fade and clear up in 7-10 days.
Skin rash or itching, especially after showers or bathing.
Mouth sores (also from fluoridated toothpaste)
Loss of mental acuity and ability to concentrate
Depression
Excessive Nervousness
Dizziness
Tendency to lose balance
Visual disturbances
  • Temporary blind spots in field of vision
  • Diminished ability to focus (possible retinal damage)
This list of symptoms is taken from page 393 of a book by George Waldbott titled, "Fluoridation: The Great Dilemma," published in 1978. These are symptoms of fluoride poisoning. Jason A. Uttley makes a very good case for arguing that the cause of Fibromyalgia is fluoride poisoning:

One probable cause of FM

As some have stated, FM is probably caused by a combination of factors, genetic vulnerability, a trigger of some sort, etc. This is not hard to believe as this is the case for many psychiatric conditions and medical conditions like heart disease and cancer too.
In my case, my insomnia was so troubling, and I was so reluctant to get stuck on the one drug which really helped me sleep (Klonopin), I had two sleep studies done. The first before Klonopin, the second while I was on it. Both studies showed a similar problem, grossly decreased or nearly absent deep sleep (stage 3,4 and REM-now they combine 3&4 to just "3"). Klonopin caused more actual time asleep but the additional sleep time was in stage 1&2. Trazodone can actually increase deep sleep but I just cant tolerate it. I know I have had short periods of clearly better sleep and without fail my FM symptoms temporarily improve.
But this is just one factor...this is one complex condition which no doubt has many other facets. I cant believe some of the things which have developed...chemical sensitivities, food allergies, flushing and sweats, near paralysis like weakness upon arising 3-4x per month, urinary retention...this is enough to make you think you are crazy. I am learning how to avoid all triggers...this helps, but your life starts revolving around this damn disease.
I welcome this forum...it means alot to hear others' experiences. Doc Byrd

Gupta Programme

This program was created by Asok Gupta originally to help himself recover from CFS and then was adapted for use for Fibromyalgia and then MCS.

The premise is to retrain the amygdala in the brain which is overreacting to stimuli and in turn over stimulating the limbic system.

I have just started it - worth a shot when dealing with MCS
oh... I started feeling MCS symptoms in 2009 - why I do not know.

Wanted to share this with CFS / Fibromyalgia.
