Hello everyone, bent but not broken
I found you guys by doing google search for Lyrcia. I had fusion S1-L4 on 4/20/04 because the pain was not tolerable. I had spondylolistheis L4. Forgive my spelling I'm nervous( my 1st time ). Because my Doctor thought maybe I had nerve damage pain they tried Lyrica, Neurontin, Topomax. I've been in Pain Management since March 2003. I tried Neurontin 1/3/06, left my job 1/29/03.I still feel strange after stopping those meds over a year ago. I took a vacation in the fall 2006 in the Mountains of North Carolina or Tennessee. I'm not sure. My concentration, memory, spelling skills, moods, dreams and memory all seem to have been affected. Has anyone else had those kinds of problems ? I met a neurologist last week who told me he believes its the hardware, 6 large pelicle screws, 3 plates, 2 rods in the back ,thats causing a large part of the pain. He told me in Canada and Europe its standard procedure to remove the hardware after a year....Any Comments ? I'm happy I found you guys. I thought I was the only one to have gone thru this.
