Hi everyone, I need a little clarification on my xray of 10/12/07
Findings: It appears that within the interval there has been left hemilaminectomy at L4 and L5. Disc space narrowing again noted at multiple levels, stable. Anterolisthesis of L4 upon L5 again noted, stable. Vertebral body heights remain normal. Vascular calcifications. No abnormal motion with flexion or extension. Impression: 1.Multilevel degenerative disc disease. 2.Grade I anterolisthesis of L4 upon L5. No abnormal motion withflexion or extension. 3.It appears though there has been left hemiaminectomy at L4 and L5 within the interval. I am curious about anterolisthesis, vascular calcifications and left hemiaminectomy and anything else that might help me understand. My N/S wants me to undergo 4 weeks @3x weekly PT. Thanks, t:cool: |
Anterolisthesis
I think, the vascular calcifications (noted in the findings) are related to degenerative disc disease (or DDD/DJD - arthritis). Hemilaminectomy: part of the Lamina and only a portion of the of the Facet Joint is removed to allow more room for the Lumbar Nerve. |
