Starting Methylcobalamin today....

Finally! I finally had the money and found a supply. I won a gift certificate to Amazon. com. It was just enough to order a bottle of Methylcobalamin - 5000mcg SubL tablets.

I've been having a return of symptoms over the past couple of weeks. It's been slowly getting bad again. We'll see what happens now.

I'll also be adding a B complex again to balance out everything.

Here's hoping this is what I really needed all along! :D

I hope you have a prompt and positive response.

But please do remember that even if it is what you need, repairs can be a very bumpy road and seem like worsening.

Best wishes to you,

rose

Question for Rose

Hi Rose:

I know this has been answered before, but I had never seen my Vitamin B level on my blood tests before this last annual physical. It is 530.

Is that a good level? Thanks.

Hi Rose

I also got my b12 level last week,it is 492 (it was taken before I started taking any b12 tablets),can you tell me if this is a normal level ,thanks

Hi, and I know that Rose will back me up on this.

Your Vitamin B-12 level (especially if you have PN), should be in the 4 digits. If not, it should most definitely be above the 530 or so.

Right Rose???

Yes, I think that anyone with symptoms should aim for over 1000.

Anyone who has not already read my website (won't take long), please do. The B12 test is not reliable, and you can be deficient while having a result of over 400, 500, or even rarely over 700. B12 does not work in the blood, and most tests don't even test that accurately.

Exactly...and now that I know I have the right formulation of B-12 I'll stick with it no matter what happens. Cause I know it's not anything to do with the form I'm taking now.

I have my Tramadol for those 'worse' periods and I'm not afraid to use it!! :D

To Rose

Hi Rose:

Thank you so much for the answer. That is what I was afraid of! Guess most doctors don't know much about B12!

Shirley H.
