TN drugs and Anxiety

Okay, has anyone here developed anxiety as a result of taking any of the TN drugs???
I only developed it after treating with drugs for TN. I sure hope I'm not the only one out here (not that I'm wishing this on anyone else, its just really messing me up).

I've read that anticonvulsants can do this as can everything else.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

yep, can't remember which one though! Stopped when I stopped taking it. I use trimiprimine at night though and 5HTP which helps anxiety and to balance my emotions!!

These drugs do all sorts of nasty things - when I was on lyrica I would get really angry at the drop of a hat and have real difficulty keeping from getting violent - for example with my horses and dog - this is SO SO SO VERY not like me, I use postive reinforcement rather than negative so I stopped taking the drug and went back to my normal self! It was mainly when I was on lower doses though.

Hope this helps? Big hugs

Yes, Niki, thanks.

What I don't understand is why the docs are always in such disbelief! They sit there and don't admit that it could be the drugs!!!! I guess they escape guilt or something.

I was doing great on Effexor XR till it became apparent to me and my DH that it was greatly effecting my memory. EEG showed everything was ok, thank God, and they took me off Effexor and put me on the current mix. My doc knows now that I'm extremely sensitive to drugs so this proposal shouldn't be so foreign to him. Anyway, now there be a bunch more tests to determine the effects. I hesitate to go off of my current mix until they confirm where the problem lies, but I'm betting on chemical imbalance.

Anyway, Thanks again and big hugs to you!!
