Hi
Hello. I am Sherry and am very glad to find this lovely online community as I am really seeking help for my precious 14 year old daughter who has been experiencing a kind of involuntary head jerking (almost like a nodding motion) over the last several weeks. Previously she experienced excessive eye blinking and while I still notice very periodic eye twitches the jerky movements with her neck/head is the greatest concern and only started happening in late August. It went away in September for a while but it has now returned. Of course she has noticed that it does not happen to her friends and she does not want to be different. Any suggestions or advice anyone can offer me I will be most grateful for. This is such a worry and so scary.
Thanks and God bless Sherry |
Sherry,
Hello and welcome to NeuroTalk. Great to see you have come to be with us. You will find a great number of caring, supporting members here willing to help each other. It is especially hard when it is having to do with our little ones. There will many here beginning Monday that will assist. Here is a  for your daughter. Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. Darlene:hug: |
Hi Sherry, welcome to NT! I'm sure you'll find all the help you need here... it's a kind, compassionate and informative site full of great people. I wish I could help more, and give you the links that might prove helpful. But until you know more about what's going on with your daughter, I don't know where to direct you to. Do you have dr.s appt.s scheduled? I'm assuming there will be a neurological visit soon? Best of luck, Sherry and daughter :) |
Hi Sherry and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm posting the link to our TS forum and think you should post your question there...http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25
It's a very active and helpful forum...I'm glad you found us. |
Hi, Sherry, welcome to NeuroTalk!
I agree with the others and hope that you'll have a neurologist see your daughter. These symptoms are, of course, not typical for a girl her age. Kudos to you for taking a proactive approach for her sake.:) |
