Is There Any Food That's Good Or Bad For Myasthenics?
 

at 15 going on 16 i'm just wondering is there any types of food i should be avioding? i'm already wheelchair dependant and i'm piling on the weight fast. plus im having trouble eating at the moment. everytime i eat i get pains in my stomach and feel sick. is there any particular foods i should be eating more of. or even drinks? :confused:

i'm on a medication called ephedrine hydrochloride.

it's basically just to boost my energy.

I'm so sorry you have this disease at such a young age.I do know what its like to be on lots of meds that cause weight gain, like prednisone (I took 100 mg. for a couple of years). Make sure whatever it is that you put into your body counts. If your eating just cause, then eat celery, carrots, etc. Make sure you get milk or yogurt everyday. There was a time when all I could swallow in a day was about 1/2 cup. I had a little banana, avacado and yogurt. If needed consult a nutritionist, as you need fuel for your body..
