Anonymity On The Board

Someone PMd me about the issue that there is not much anonymity here on the Board and wondered if we had any issues regarding that.

I'd like to answer publically that "yes", some of us DO have issues regarding the fact that we've met eachother in person, many of you know my whole name, my Bar number and even where I live and my telephone number. All of this while I have ongoing case(s) with my insurance co.s.

I have accepted these risks but I'm an attorney, and have some idea of what can happen with certain disclosures (or not.)

Please be careful and if you have an attorney, don't disclose anything here that you discuss with your attorney, and bring up the subject of this support group and the postings and get your own advice on how to handle it.

Just a thought from me, and not even an approach to a discussion about what's proveable evidence wise, admissable, etc., just the over-all view that many of us here know eachother personally, and it is good if one has an attorney, to turn to that attorney for advice on anything SPECIFIC about their case, etc.

It is a public forum, Tams mention of this is a good time to remind all of us.
Open to anyone for reading- which can be a good thing for spreading the info about TOS and helping ones with new dx of TOS , but for those with claims/cases ...:(

Here, there or anywhere on the internet: I try to post only what I'd be comfortable having my Dr. read. Or my kids. Or a Judge.

I feel like if there's anything I can learn to lessen my pain or improve my condition, this is the place to do it and these are the people who have the broadest range of experience (excepting my Dr, who is not local to me).

I WANT TO GET WELL, DARN-IT!!

Hi everyone,

I came to the TOS forum on Braintalk around 98.

I learned then that you really have to watch what you say or do on this forum.

I actually had one person find my Drs. name by way of my info on here and what she got was an ***** reeming from my beloved Nurse and my Dr. but not all Drs. would be protective of patients and listen to what they might have to say. My Nurse told me of it and advised me to be careful.

Since then I have realized we do have some people that like to cause trouble for others, whether its' because of jealousy or what, I don't know but people on here do need to be somewhat on guard about their personal life.

I will say though, anything I say on here, I don't worry about because I'm open and I try to be honest about everything I say so it doesn't come back to haunt me.

Also, I see Dr. Sanders in Denver and I have given him the ok to talk to people on the forum about me. He knows I have sent people to him and he knows me pretty good.

Do be careful though if you have lawsuits going on. You don't want info on here going into courtrooms and being read even if they say they can't use it. Judges don't always follow the rules themselves.
