another new drug
Hello everyone. I have a hx of seizures for 30 years with multiple temporal lobe surgeries and just about every medication out there.
Even with all the procedures/meds I continue to have bothersome complex partial seizures. I am on Lyrica and Lamictal, Lyrica being the "newest" medication for me to try. I am on 300 mg Lyrica, 150/150 and 650 Lamictal, 300/350. Unfortunately, I feel like CRAP since being on the med 2 months. Doctors reduced the dose a week ago and I still feel like CRAP and am still having seizures. I am experiencing just about every side effect mentioned on the drug pamphlet; dizzy, ataxia, headaches, jumpy insides, cognitive/memory/attention problems, blury vision, and other things even though on the med for two months. There is a call into the doc for more advice. Anyone else out there that experienced a "bad time' on the Lyrica? It would be good to hear from others experiencing similar or the same problems and how they resolved them. |
Hi SB and Welcome to NT. Sorry about all the problems you are having. I cannot take Lyrica; tried it once and it made me really loopy. I know some people have good luck w/it tho.... I'm sure someone will chime in w/some help for you. Hang in there....
