Those darned non-motor related problems!

This is interesting... As I've said before, I recently had an increase in my Sinemet from 4-1/2 pills per day to 6-1/2 - all of which has been the 25/100 yellow pills.

Well anyway for the longest time, maybe 4 years perhaps, I've had a numbness on the right side of my face (my PD side). I saw a neurologist about it, and was told I may have had an ischemic attack or perhaps a little bit of Bel's Palsy. That was then... Now with the increase in the Sinemet, the numbness and stiffness on my face has disapeared! Cool! I'm going to report this to my neuro when I see her in January.

John,
Glad to hear the Sinemet has helped you. I had a similar thing with the face. It felt like the muscles in my face were twisting into a knot (right side effected side). In my case it was too much Sinemet causung the problem.
Finding the right balance is soooo much fun!!!:D:D:D

Hi Greg,

That wonderful balancing act IS so much fun, but once we get it right everything falls into place. :D

That's interesting that the Sinemet was causing yours. My facial tightness started way before the PD diagnosis, or around the same time that my stomach muscles felt really tight also on the right side.
