not the place to mention this..

But.
I've signed on to OBT/BT1 in order to contact coupla ppl. They took my name, chalked me up, extra member, but I am not recognized. My name is listed in users. But can't post, contact anyone. So I'm another notch in the "membership" ..yes, I've given it 24 hrs, benefit of the doubt..

Already read the literature on similar, recommends logging in on a different computer...pardon? how does this help me on my computer (the one I use..)
Stumped.
all the best.

Thanks, no, far as I know I'm squeaky clean...

Sorry, add edit: I've made 0 (zero - because I can't, get the "you are not logged in" thing) posts there, more than a few here.

There is a system glitch which has been consistent since OBT came back. If you attempt to log in with the "Post Reply" screen showing, it doesn't log you in properly and you can't post. There are two ways around it. The first is to log in through the log in at the top of the forum before you push the "Reply" button. The second is to click "New Thread", log in, and then go to the pathway in blue at the top and go out of the new thread into the forum you want to be in. You will then be able to reply to posts.

Thanks, Lara, tried that yesterday. I'll try again now (BTW "clearing my cookies" if they mean *all* my cookies gives me a week's work of yet again setting my options/prefs/ oh well...) thanks a lot,,

Sorry, Lara, I'm on that forum as "the artist". Exactly that.
I do believe there may be someone else calling themselves "artist" harrumph bah humbug...

You're right, Artist; I looked at the membership list and saw the other person and read the post. The person previously went by a different user name.

Thanks both of you, I'm so tired of trying I'm giving up for now..Lara I'll PM you if I need to, thanks again :)

Did you try logging in at the top of the forum instead of in a reply screen? That is what works for me, while logging in in a reply screen doesn't.

Oh yes, logged in everywhere possible, no go :(
My computer is quite old, still on Mac OS 9 - so it may be they've designed the new site for the most recent browsers with go-faster javascript. Dunno, but I can't spend any more time on it.
Thanks so much for your suggestions, though,
all the best.

If you sign in on the log in box, at the top right of the screen, you should get a pop up box that says the system is signing you on.

When that's done, the system should direct you automatically back to the board/forum you were looking at.

It APPEARS like you are not signed in, but you probably are.

So . . . click at the top left where it says "BrainTalk" (see above here, where it says "Brain Talk 2 Communities"?), and the screen will 'refresh', and show that you are actually signed in now. (Your log-in name etc. will be visible). You can go anywhere you want after that . . .

This is what I always have to do.

Then again, you could just stay here. :)

Cherie
