Help burning copies picture CD's

I hope someone can really simplify and donate some easy program ideas to help me.
My last computer I just put in the CD to copy and clicked on a program, it read CD drive, I prompted to make a CD.
But on my new computer everything seems to want to do music and I don;t have a good idea how to complete my task ASAP.

I put it into the CD drive and it opens with Adobe photo Album type reading program. It promts to add to a collection, but not to burn a CD. I try to select all and copy, that did not work, I made one CD so far over a week time.

I need to make copies of the CD for the family and mail them out.
So I am looking for advice to open the CD and prompt to burn the pictures. There are two CD and over a few hundred pictures with the edits I did.
I have Microsoft picture manager, Real player, not sure what else for media.

or go to My Computer & double click-
right click on the CD drive - Properties - and on the Auto play tab check each of the settings - or set it to always Ask you.

That's how mine is set up, because I have 3 different photo programs each does a few things better than the other so I can pick the one that I need.

I did do a nice photo CD with Picasa 2 yrs ago - I like the way the photos can be adjusted in it, really simple to use.
And free from google.
http://picasa.google.com/

easy import to it's free web album too.
