Friday....finally!!

I say that because my daughter is coming with her family tomorrow and I feel like I haven't seen her in ages! I remembered that I have to set up for communion in the morning and once again I made the communion wafers from pie dough instead of the unlevened bread recipe that taste so nasty and makes you cough. *grin (it irritates the heck out of some of the elders who are sticklers for tradition but what the hey...I'm a rebel without a cause.)

I hope everyone feels better today! Hug for the room. :grouphug:

ok gals. the holiday season here. we have to step up and NOT gain those pounds. heck, even lose a few.

get moving. walk in place for 100 steps when you read this. get the blood flowing and you metabolism revvvvvvved up!

lets do some searching for lower fat alternative recipes. add some good health for those you love. they don't need the trans fats and high sodium either.

make some oat flour. all you have to do it put dry..no do not cook it first ...in the blender or food proccesor and let it whirl. presto. oat flour. substitute for part of your regular flour. did youknow that is mrs fields secret? or use some whole grain.

use part splenda for sugar.

come on, WE CAN DO IT!!

Hi Alffe & Curious~

I took the dog for a walk this morning, does that count?:rolleyes:I got to go to work before long. Still not feeling to good. I did find out what is wrong with me. It's my back again. I have Spondylolisthesis. I just had surgery for it a year ago Sept. If it gets worse, I'll check with my back Dr. I would like to put it off till after the first of the year or longer. Weather can be tricky by Jan.We start having snow.

Curious those are cute pic's you are putting on the forum. Wish it was that easy to loose the weight.

billie.....ugh...i have spondylolisthesis too. i'm at a grade 4. no surgery yet if ever. i don't tolerate being put under. plus no insurance.

have you had to wear a back brace? i have put that off. i was injured at age 12 have have been able to keep my muscled stregthened enough to support my back. that bone grinding on bone...loss of feeling in my legs...the pits.

gaining the 20 lbs i did and not exercising took it's toll. the last 2 years have been h3ll with pain.

i'm praying losing the weight and the exercising i'm doing can fend off surgery or a brace.

 the dog walking is great!!!

time to get out those measure cups and keep them on the counter. we have to know how much we eating. keep our portion sizes small.

Curious 11-30-2007 01:03 PM

exercise time again. :D

sit way back in your chair. sit up straight. make sure you are sitting flat on your rear...not tilted. hold abs in.

scoot back from your computer.

feet together on the floor infront you.

slowly lift about 10 inches or whatever you can off the floor.

do 10x

rest. try and do 3 more sets.
