trying to get in the cheery spirit....
 

on saturday i put a big soft stuffed snowman in the backseat of my car. buckeled him for safety too. :D

i figured it would be a fun surprise for grandmonkey have a buddy to ride with. he was surprised and really enjoyed it this morning on his way to school.

lil'monkey and forgot all about it being there. we had dropped off grandmonkey first.

we kept wondering why people were smiling at us. :o we are a cute couple of monkeys...but...:wink:

then the smiles kept happening after i dropped her off. hmm...was i having a good hair day? nope. well, yes...but not enough for anyone to smile about. ;)

so i spread some cheer and made people smile and didn't even know why. :o

now it has cheered me up and got me a teeny bit in the mood. :D

:D i got batteries for my digital camera. i'm going to take a picture of grandmonkey when i pick him up from school.

i am such a weird person. but if this is the only cheeriness i can pass along this year...then it might as well be a silly one. :p

hmmmm...maybe i'll put on my reindeer antler headband. :D

But it reminded me of a military party (another one ~groan~) many, many years ago at a civilian :rolleyes: place. I dressed in a new, super expensive, lovely little dress, string straps, circle skirt - just great. To get to the party room we had to walk through the public bar ....... Walking through it two men at the bar OBVIOUSLY tried to get my attention -- big smiles, waves of hand ...... gosh !!! Those guys were just knocked out by my gorgeousness!

A few steps later and another man waved at me and winked !! I waved and winked back. I was so attractive I might as well treat these guys, huh?

I had other smiles and nods as we made it into the party room where we saw the waitresses dressed in grand dresses ..... exactly like mine.

Well, they had little aprons and better figures :o
