Life's Path.....
 

Life's path is strange along the way
Sometimes it's clear to me,
Just how people stray from it
It's not so hard to see.

Some have had an easy walk
Others have found it hard,
Patterns of life make us who we are
And can knock us off our guard.

We learn from problems thrown our way
They make us so much stronger
But when we're young, treated wrong
Feeling good takes so much longer.

We crawl on glass along that lonely path
becoming scarred along the way
healing's such a traumatic road
but the end will be there one day.

The ones who abused will be long time gone
Our esteem will win the day
Because life is short, we need to work
and be happy enough to play......
