For Alffe
:hug::hug:
I have just read 'a letter from Jesus', and as i know you were the postman that delivered the letter, i would just like to say thank you. I finish work at 8pm on Christmas Eve, and i'm working 7.30am-3.30pm Christmas Day...I intend to make the residents of the Hostel a Turkey dinner[ fly me over one of them turkey-duck-things look great :)L.O.L. I was dissapointed that i'd have to work throughout Christmas this year [but more dissapointed for my wife and boys] But i intend to enjoy the time we have together, and enjoy my time at work equally. The letter from Jesus reminded me what really is important about this time of year. If in your capacity as a postman[l.o.l.] do you deliver letters the other way could you tell GOD/JESUS That i haven't forgot them.....and the story of the 'FOOTPRINTS' [only one set of prints in the sand when they carried me was a nice touch,] And giving the authour of the film Pay it Foward the knowledge to put forward a message of love was very skillfull.[ and the film Planes trains and Automobiles was a true message of Chritsmas] Oh! and please tell them the postal worker who delivers this needs a round of applause, for delivering valuable news imformation and on a daily basis, and in all weathers. David |
Any chance your family could join you at work on Christmas Day...help share or serve a meal? Our former Pastor and his wife would cook breakfast at the Homeless Shelter every Christmas morning...it was a wonderful way to start the day. However you spend that day, it will be time well invested David.
Funny you should mention Planes, Trains and Automobiles...Mr.Alffe makes me watch that movie every year...we own it and I know it by heart. :rolleyes: He refuses to watch my favorite....It's a Wonderful Life! Says it's too schmaltzy. :D I love schmaltzy! I'm glad you liked the Letter from Jesus...I received it in an email from a dear friend who winters in Florida....God and I don't correspond...*grin, but I do talk to Him on a daily basis. (He keeps whispering "forgive" to me...I'm trying.) |
Alffe
Sadly rules dont allow anyone in that's not staff ,at anytime in the hostel. I, don't mind schmaltzy. [ depending on how you define it ?] My wife and i, watched 'Pretty Woman' last night, for about the 50th time............... Alffe.... the 2nd thread for Calling all angels, was truly inspirational. My wife watched it tonight and cried, she even said i can paint a picture of the Angel at the start of the page to hang in the hallway........Better still the footer picture of a Dove in the clouds....I can paint on canvas to fill our bedroom wall................ I always knew by not badgering her , she may seek GOD in her own way...thank you so much............ Alffe please explain when you say you, dont corespond with GOD [ yet you talk every day], Your only Son was obviously much loved, and is greatly missed, , but God forgave him, [why? you may ask , because when a mind is troubled, and confused, i believe we become Children. The Bible clearly states 'Come all ye Children come un to Me'..].God welcomed your Son with open arms and rid him of his earthly pain and anguish....... His life and sorrowful death, has through you saved thousands more, and God bless you for that[ and your dear beloved Son]. Alffe i dont mean to upset you with what i have said , i sincerely believe your Son's life was a part of your's..................... Please hug Mr Alffe and i'm glad his Colonoscopy went well, i too have similar exploritary medical procedures to contend with in January. If i have upset you in any way i'm truely sorry David |
David how could you have possibly upset me? :hug: I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that this new year will bring you the blessing of peace.
Re: talking to God...*grin. I try on a daily basis to express my feelings of gratitude...that are mixed with such confusion and a little shame. I know in my heart that HE knows....but I am surely imagining that he's whispering in my ear...."forgive...it's always the same word I hear.........forgive." ~sigh And what are your New Year plans? :hug: |
