New here, saying hello.
Hi, just making an initial post to say hello and see if my avatar and signature look ok.
I've been diagnosed since January of this year. I'm still mobile. I've probably had MS since the mid-90s, and just never had any troubling symptoms until my right hip went numb in April of 2006, and then got optic neuritis in August of 2006 I've had a bad week (not because of the MS) and am just wandering around the different MS forums because I'm bored and online shopping isnt any fun tonight for some reason. |
Hi, Erin! :Wave-Hello: Welcome to NeuroTalk!
I'm glad you've found us. Most of us have had a few bad weeks, so no need to explain all that. Just know that we're a pretty good bunch of folks here and we're always willing to listen or just have a few laughs. Welcome again, and please feel free to jump in anywhere.:) |
Hi Erin! Tell me we are better then shopping online? Anyhoo! So glad you found us and hope you stay!

I'm just trying to not let all the bad stuff that's gone on for the past week or so bug me right now. So far, the online problems I've had are leaving me alone now...The real life stuff is a bit harder to deal with. (I live in Omaha, NE...spree shooting last week has me freaked still, christmas doesnt seem as exciting this year) At least my horrible problem with crocheting a shawl for my sister has resolved itself, and that was probably the most important problem I was having. (crochet is always important) Just 7 or 8 more rows and it can get shipped (after the obligatory showing-off photos have been taken) |
Welcome Erin! We are a fine group to stop and stay a bit with. We sometimes like to talk MS and sometimes just like to talk. You might find some forums like to talk MS only.

yes, I've been to one or two forums that dont really seem to like the off-topic conversations. (which may or may not be one of the reasons why I was having online problems...and my asbestos undies got all singed from the Flames) *sigh*
Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to use a stabby thing (you know, autojects for Copaxone) and then sit and watch in (pain and) fascination as I get a gigantic welt on my leg (for some reason it's doing that lately no matter where I shoot up) or if I just want to wait till morning to do it. The whole waiting till morning option is looking pretty good to me. That way I wont be scratching my thigh off while trying to concentrate on crocheting my shawl. I'm still waiting for them to invent one of those Star Trek healing contraptions (or maybe a G'oa'uld sarcophagus) so that the whole shooting up with drugs every day would just go away. |
Hello Erin and welcome! :)

Hi Erin: Welcome to this group. Hope you stay. I am only a member since Oct.and they are great bunch of people.
What I like about this site is that we talk about anything and everything and of course about our MS problems. With the different subjects it helps take your mind off of your serious problems and make you laugh and enjoy the moment. :) Joyce |
Hi Erin..:) I think I know of the Online problems of which you speak. Some people can be so judgement and critical...sheesh.
Sometimes we pick at each other here, but only in a fun, kidding way.:D Like AMA being the only sane one here...HA!....don't you believe it....she's a nut, just like the rest of them....except me, of course.:p Glad you're here, put on your velcro and stay awhile. |
