Off topic Stars in your eyes

Where I live at this time of year things can get a bit dull...so this is what we do for fun. If you live in the eastern half of the US, you may have some luck, especially if you are a morning insomniac.

Truly I'd go out and get

a 'gander' if it wasn't going to be soo durned cold out at that time tomorrow? TEENS! Maybe I can talk my insomniac DH to take a look-see!

Golly my feet are really turning BLUE at just the thought!

Thanks - j

I live in a basement apartment with no windows in the right direction and for Long Island, it is darn cold today. I missed this. This morning it is 12 degrees, was 9 a little while ago--it's 6:34 am--we had a windchill of 0 yesterday when it was in the 20's. Was very much reminding me of Michigan. I do love to watch the stars, but not in these temps!!!!

Want to know what I wish for??

I wish one of those meteors would hit the house next door to me and crush the 18 year old who just got out of jail and is now blasting his stereo so loud my whole house is shaking. The two 80 year olds who live downstairs are going crazy.

It was so quiet while he was in jail. No loud music, no threatening behavior. This kid is a menace to society. I asked his father "oh, he's coming home, is there going to be loud music any more?" and I was told "oh no, he's learned his lesson, he has to be on his best behavior or they'll take him right back".

I WISH SOMEONE WOULD TAKE HIM RIGHT BACK.

And we have police officers who live right upstairs from him.

I asked the cop the other day "do you hear him". He gave me a look that said it all.

Maybe SOMEONE will do SOMETHING.

Let the meteor shower begin!!!! lol

of MI. for me 2 D...

Mel e-mail jacatalk and ask how you might be able to get awhole of
that 18 yr. old nitwit 's parole officer, hmmm better not. When I
was a kid in Mi. we lived over a Polish Dance Hall..Kids can sleep
through anything, but my poor mother got her nights and days mixed
up..So on weekend's my parents went to many weddings as they
snuck into them good food and lot's of dancing,Mama got in a better mood
We must
think of somethink to wake up that twerp who is probably sleeping
day and night. :eek::eek: Sue

cycleops and Sue?

Sigh? Gotta admit I zeed out before the evening news last nite..and it was SOOO cold when I finally woke up, @a truly lazy 8am that I feel like a total slug...Did let my DH know, and his reaction [this from one who is from the NORTH? was...TOO COLD OUT!] stating it was well too much.

Sue, as for Mel's twerp? Mel you gotta find out what the 'noise codes' are for your neighborhood...IF noise is over X decibels at certain times...the twerp can be zapped. Tho it's usually fines. Me? If it were me? I'd be inclined either to BLAST the Grateful Dead or Stravinsky's 1812 Overture, complete w/cannons at about 9 AM - that's a civilised time, no?

Otherwise? I should be seeing stars out any window, but am not now...I don't think I'll worry...as long as snow or ICE aren't on the menu.

I've only seen meteor 'lites' twice in my life...I gotta say they are something truly awesome! Thanks - j

The people who live upstairs from this guy, well they are two cops. I spoke to one of them the other day. I said "did you hear the music?" and he said "Oh yeah". So the cops know.

The two 80 (or 82) year olds who live downstairs know, I know, my husand knows and the cops who live upstairs from the 18 year old, well WE ALL KNOW THAT HE'S CRAZY!!!

I wouldn't knock on that door for all the tea in china. Years ago, (when he was 12), there were 4 fire trucks in front of my house.

We all came out (except the kid), and the police were there too. I said "you do know what happend don't you"??? and the cop said "yeah, we know but we can't trace a cell phone call but we know it's him". They knocked on the kid's door but no one came to the door.

I looked at the cop and said "you mean, you can't do ANYTHING??" and he just shrugged. The kid ultimately beat up his cousin and stole her car. She lives in the basement. She refused to press charges BIG MISTAKE.

I used to hear bodies being slammed against the wall next door. One day, the sister of this kid knocked on my door asking for help.

I went in and found a scene of people hitting people and yelling at each other. He was about 14 then. Went all downhill after that. It was only a matter of time before he went to jail and it came to be.

He pulled a knife on 5 chinese people 5 blocks from where we live. The people got in a police car, they went prowling, they found him, they fingered him and he went to jail (for youthful offenders) for over a year.

I believe he must be wearing one of those ankle things because he hasn't popped his head out of the front door since he came home after Thanksgiving.

I remember years ago, he would be up till 2 a.m. and blasting the stereo (or computer speakers). You cannot imagine the noise. But that was way before the cops moved in upstairs. I live right next door and we share a wall (sheetrock). He has no consideration for anybody.

So we really believe that it's only a matter of time before he "does something", and back he will go. Then I will have peace.

Or until the people downstairs grab a gun and go and shoot him.

Hey, you never know!!
