PseudoTumor cerebri is actually one of the few manifestations of Lyme that may sometimes need to be treated with steroids which are usually contra-indicated with Lyme- but it can threaten vision/sight if it is very severe.

Lyme is treated with abx and steroids are bad for it, but there are a few conditions that can occur in Lyme in which steroids will be used when necessary- this is one of them.

I posted this because Pseudotumor Cerebri is a specific unusual condition wihch can be a red flag for pediatric Lyme disease in North America. There have been many citations of case reports to that effect.

Just a heads up-
Sincerely,
Sarah
